Biscornu, SALs and Stash

Here is the progress so far on 'When Barnabee Met Bella' from Just Nan.

The photo does not do justice to the fantastic colours, for starters the linen is lilac and not a funny grey colour! The top left hand corner is complete with embellishment.

This is the other side.

I have one day left on the rotation for this so hopefully I will get the lilac side finished.

Whilst 'blog hopping' I came across a pin cube SAL from Stitch-Creations. So I went into the Stash Room found some 14 count white Aida, and DMC 115. In the time it took The Other Half to drive from home to my Mum's, 75 miles, the first side was finished.

This week I also indulged in a bit of stash enhancement with the Over The Top and In The Tin (Boo) from Just Nan.

I am hoping to modify the needle book chart to make a biscornu, eventually. Having seen the Peachy Biscornu a couple of times on the Basket of Biscornu SAL blog, I also bought that.

This is designed by Carol Tinson of Heirloom Embroideries.

I'll leave you with some Easter Greetings from just after the First World War, scanned from my Mum's collection.

Happy Easter!

Love the biscornu. I wish I could sew as quickly. I just keep adding to my stash and at the present rate of sewing I need to live to be 250.

Barnaby is looking great already! I think Boo will easily be modified to a biscornu too.

I am doing the Stitch Creations block as well but I think (as I haven't actually started yet) mine will be blue, but that could change too.

Love the post cards.

Hey there speedy fingers. I have tried to cross-stitch while travelling, must admit I'm rubbish at it. Perhaps my driver has illusions of being a racing driver of a by-gone era or it could possibly be that I'm a poor passenger. Being me I of course am convinced that it is the former that is the problem. Srill I keep giving it a go. One thing about it for me is that I get even more frogging practise.
On a brighter note your work looks very pretty. The pc's look lovely. Have a lovely Easter and hope the other half replaced the Easter Bunny he ate earlier in the year!!!
Just to show you I forward plan I'm doing a Jim Shore Christmas piece and am thoroughly enjoying it.
